10 second animation
pre productionBefore starting, I had no idea what to make. So many things to animate! After pondering for a bit, I came up with the idea of a basketball game, and someone scoring the winning shot for the team. I storyboarded it, and then was forced to make the decision to use either Photoshop or Flash. I settled for Flash, as it was much easier to animate in. I decided on a white background for the movie before I jumped into the production process.

productionWhen I started, I first went about copying the storyboard keyframes into Flash, just to make things easier. Then, I just set the framerate and started drawing, playing the animation every so often to check my progress. It was pretty fun after a little while! Animating the ball as it twirled into the hoop was a bit of a challenge, though.

post productionAfter I was satisfied with my animation and it fit the frame amount set, I finally got to export it! Flash had some trouble with crashing a lot, so I settled on screen recording it using QuickTime. I had to save it as a movie and uploaded it to Youtube, and then I was done!
